Our Story

Hi, I’m Sean, the founder of Black Crag

The idea of Black Crag came about on a hike, when I realised I no longer wanted to spend my life in an office. After years in marketing, I craved something more grounded and real. So I took the leap, invested my savings, and turned that idea into a reality.

Where it all started

My passion for the outdoors all started when my brother and I picked up hiking as a hobby when we were teenagers. We would go out every weekend to the South Downs and find a new favourite spot each time. My brother still helps out in the shop to this day.

A life of adventure

When I'm not manning the shop, you could find me climbing a cliff in the South Downs or exploring new nature spots with my family.
